FOREIGN CUP HISTORY The Taiwan Foreign Cup can trace its origins back to 1999 when a certain Mario Agostini (who was then an Animal but today can be seen hobbling around for the Kaohsiung 100 Pacers) had the vision to organise regular competitions between the foreign teams in Taiwan. In the first few years the tournaments were held irregularly and mainly involved four clubs; Kaohsiung 100 Pacers, Taichung United, Taipei Red Lions and the Taipei Animals, unfortunately no records were kept during this period. hotel a Bucharest Tainan Phoenix entered the fray in 2001 and helped take the tournaments to a new level by establishing the Foreign Football Community Web site. This Web site is the core communication channel between all the foreign teams and partly responsible for the rapid growth of participants (the Summer Cup 2004 looks forward to hosting a record 16 competing teams!). The Taiwan Foreign Cup is a football (soccer) tournament competed every quarter between the foreign teams in Taiwan. Each tournament is rotated in location between the four main cities of Taiwan, and the responsibility for organising the event lies with those teams in the host city.
