THE THANKSGIVING TREE – A CREATIVE WAY TO ENRICH YOUR FAMILY CELEBRATION

The Thanksgiving Tree makes the giving of thanks as natural, easy and fun as the turkey, mashed potatoes and pumpkin pie.

A beautiful autumn decoration, the Thanksgiving Tree is placed in a family area during Thanksgiving week with Leaf Notes scattered at its base. Throughout the week and on Thanksgiving Day, family members and friends are invited to write brief messages of gratitude on the leaves and place them on the tree. The time set aside for sharing is enriched by the Celebration Guide, which offers a grace, scriptures and prayers including a National Prayer of Thanksgiving written by Dr. Lloyd Ogilvie, Chaplain of the United States Senate. Also included are enrichment ideas suggesting a variety of activities to make Thanksgiving even more special.
