Surrounded by autumn decorations, the tree will enrich the holiday décor. It should be displayed in a family area with Thank-You Leaf Notes scattered around the base.

12 Thank-You Leaf Notes: The autumn-colored Leaf Notes bear the words “Thank You” on one side. Throughout the week before Thanksgiving and as people arrive for the Thanksgiving dinner, family members and guests are encouraged to write a note expressing their gratitude, and then place their leaf note on the tree.

Family Celebration Guide: Following dinner and before dessert, The Thanksgiving Tree is placed at the center of the table. Those gathered are invited to join together in sharing their thoughts and feelings about the meaning of Thanksgiving Day. The printed resources feature a National Prayer of Thanksgiving written by Dr. Lloyd J. Ogilvie, Chaplain of the United States Senate. Also included are verses from the Psalms, a Grace to be read before the meal, a Family Thanksgiving Prayer, and a Benediction. Enrichment ideas suggest a variety of family activities to enhance the day.
