"This is a product that has been long overdue."

luxury hotels in ViennaAs someone who often deals with the trials and tribulations of acclimating newly imported animals, I have tried nearly every variety of bulb available. I can honestly say that I have never noticed any significant difference between the way they (other bulbs) affected my animals. That is until I tried the ACTIVE UV HEAT LAMP. Less than 2 weeks after utilizing a 160 watt flood ACTIVE UV HEAT LAMP with my last group of newly imported Rainbow Uromastyx I noticed a significant improvement in overall activity, color and most important, appetite. Just to be sure I placed a second bulb over another group. The results were the same. I truly believe that the use of the ACTIVE UV HEAT LAMP will help with the acclimation and overall long term health and well being of diurnal desert species like Uromastyx, or any other species that require significant UVA and UVB. This is a product that has been long overdue.

I received the bulbs and am very pleased. They're everthing you say they are. The increased light quality and intensity over my old bulbs is obvious. The tortoises really seem to like it; the difference in activity levels has been noticeable, especially with my adult Pancake tortoises. I'd like to order four more 100 watt flood bulbs.
Thanks.

I recently paid a small fortune for a yearling Galapagos tortoise. The previous owner had the tortoise on an adequate diet but no actual sun light.
Since its the middle of winter, I couldn't put him outside yet.  The first few days he was a picky eater. I was heating him with a chromalux bulb. After a few days a friend told me about the new real UV light. I immediately bought a few. Within 1 hour he was twice as active and eating everything I put in front of him. I also have a Texas tortoise that caught an upper--respiratory tract infection in early November just before hibernation time. He responded well to a course of antibiotics, but now if I hibernated him, it could recur. The problem was that even though I kept him at ninety degrees with a chromalux, he ate very little, was losing weight and was generally depressed. His instinct was telling him to hibernate.  I switched him to a real UV light and within 3 days he was eating well and very active.  I work at a busy animal emergency hospital and the veterinarian and I am getting a lot of pet store bought iguana's and sulcata tortoises with severe calcium deficiency. I'm going to keep the real UV lights in stock as part of the successful treatment of metabolic bone disease.

Here is some information on my personal use of your bulbs.  I breed several species of desert lizards (chuckwallas, collared lizards, Baja blue rock lizards, uromastix and ctenosaura hemilopha ) .  They are all kept in indoor cages. Most cages are 3'x4'x2.5'h but the big ctenosaurs have a 4'x7'x3.5' cage. In the 3x4' cages I use a 150w uv bulb along with a 250w heat lamp. The uv bulbs are about 12" above the basking site.  In the 4x7' cages I use a 300w uv bulb 18" above the basking site with the 250w heat lamp. I've been using your bulbs like this for over a year now.
I like to give my animals uv mainly because it increases the males breeding activity.  Most of the above animals have bred without uv but I'm convinced that I get better production when they are given uv. I like to use your bulbs more than the fluorescent types.  They are easier to use than the bulky fluorescent fixtures and they seem to last longer.    Thanks

I just wanted to let you know that your bulbs are a God send. My iguanas have increased activity and the amount they eat by 4 fold since I got your light put into the cages. I am very happy with your product and have recommended it to every Herp owner I know around my area and on the internet.
Thanks,
