BasicActive UVHeat types: The flood Oradea hotels reviewtype of bulb can be used in many cases like a regular heatlamp. These types are the best all around use bulbs with equal quality of light throughoutthe light projection. They have been used successfully at closer and farther distancesthan the average recommended distances. The spot focus bulbs have twice the UV at twice the distance but onlywithin a spot area and relatively no UV elsewhere, ( like a turtle on a rock). They havegood heat and a secondary flood of lower quality light outside of the spot area. Theyshould be only used at the recommended distances or greater.(See below.)

How to choose the right bulb for an existing setup.

1. Review your current cage conditions:
   1. Wattage of heat lamp/temperature requirements. (Zoo med spot lamps are a bit hotter than our flood type lamps at the   basking site)
   2. Basking site distance
   3. Recommended distance requirements for Active UVHeat lamp type.
2. Pick the bulb that mostclosely matches all three requirements.

General ways to use each bulb type

The 100 watt flood: Good for up to 30 gallon screen-top, glass terrariums. The 10 to 15 gallon tanks needour "Dome Extender" kit and a dome hood fixture to raise the bulb off of thescreen top. This creates a perfect 82-86 degree temperature at the warmest end.

The 160-watt flood: Our most versatile bulb, this medium range bulb works for smaller cages with highertemperature needs (like all screen cages), medium to large cages and multiple lamp setups.Use the dome extender kit for arboreal setups where the animal can get to the top of thecage thus keeping the bulb at the proper distance.

The 275 watt flood: For larger Iguana/ Monitor cages, tortoise pens, breeder troughs, high temperature/intensity needs or room sized setups.

The 100 watt spot focus: Great for isolating a small 3" diameter primary basking spot at 18" orfarther, with regular light and heat flooding around it.

The 160 watt spot focus: Our strongest bulb for farther distances. It can be used at an angle to increase thedistance to the basking site and create an elliptical range of UV from high at one side tolow at the other with no UV elsewhere. Great for tortoise troughs and larger enclosures.

A Dome-Reflector Extender can be used with all of the above and arehighly recommended.

Metal sleeves are available to stabilize or elevate standard heat lampreflectors. Used for all sit-on-screen-top mounting situations and allows a 100 watt bulbto create a perfect 82 degrees in 10 gallon terrariums.
